Night Flight Print

Night flight started as an image that popped into my head while laying in bed. I had to quickly jump up and scribble down what I saw in my head on the first available scrap of paper(an orange sticky note). I stuck that note in my sketchbook and slept on the idea. The concept of a black heron taking away a skeleton is a play on a white crane delivering a baby. Maybe this is how you leave the world after a life well lived. Hand drawn design on paper scanned in and inked digitally to create this piece. I have a process video showing the digital inking process up on my Facebook and on YouTube.
