Inspired by a photo taken by Bryana in January 2021 at Sandy Hook Beach, New Jersey. Bryana SaysI spent a month working on this painting in spare moments and the thumb gave me a lot of trouble. This will be surprising to exactly zero people who have ever rendered the human hand in artwork, and I can't say it was surprising to me—I knew what I was getting myself into.
