Blue Lake 274 - Organic Bush Bean Seeds

Blue Lake 274 is the bush version of the classic Blue Lake—straight, round, stringless pods with true “beany” sweetness and heavy yields. Pods average 5–6” and stay slim and tender, which is why home canners love them: they pack neatly and hold color and snap after blanching or freezing. Compact plants make harvest easy and keep producing if you pick often. Introduced in the early 1960s, it’s also noted for resistance to bean common mosaic. Succession sow every couple of weeks for a steady basket. Like all legumes, Blue Lake 274 fixes nitrogen—filling the pantry while quietly feeding the soil.
