Porcellio werneri (Werner's woodlouse) 6ct
This is an attractive, flat, wide-bodied species from the Aegean Islands of Naxos, Paros, Sikinos, and Amorgos. They are found in dry areas with calcareous rocky substrate, particularly within maquis and garrigue habitats. Contrary to popular belief, they prefer a moderate amount of moisture. However, like many of the large Porcellio species, they are susceptible to death from excessively moist substrate and stale humid air. The key to successfully keeping them is to ensure that the proper amount of air circulation is present to prevent stagnant humid conditions within their enclosure. In terms of behavior, they tend to prefer to suspend themselves over the substrate. They spend a lot of time engaging in clinging behavior to various objects within their environment, such as leaves and bark.
