The original watercolor painting by Hugh Laidman is the view of Niagara Square looking easterly from City Hall. Hugh Laidman (1914-1987), Western New York artist, freelance illustrator, muralist, teacher & author, commercial artist, portrait painter, figure & landscape artist & animal illustrator, syndicated comic strip artist.
