Blue Gal
Blue Gal, sometimes known as Bluo Gal, is a chromogenic substrate for beta-Galactosidase. It is used to determine the presence of cloned DNA in bacterial colonies because they produce a blue color when cultured on agar media. Ultra Pure Grade Blue Gal is often preferred over X-Gal because of its richer blue coloration. Blue Gal is soluble in DMF or DMSO. BioWORLD offers Streptavidin and Biotin conjugates of beta-Galactosidase for immunohistochemistry. See bioWORLD's extensive catalogue of ELISA reagents and kits for transformation. bioWORLD's products are supplied for LABORATORY RESEARCH USE ONLY.
