Product DescriptionPBS (Phosphate Buffered Saline) has a 1X concentration without calcium and magnesium is at a pH of 7.4. Calcium and magnesium facilitate cell binding and clumping. PBS (1X) contains 137 mM NaCl, 2.7 mM KCl, 10 mM Na2HPO4, and 1.8 mM KH2PO4.PBS is a water-based salt solution that helps maintain a constant pH. It is isotonic and non-toxic to most cells so therefore has many uses, including substance dilution and cell container rinsing. For laboratory use only. Not fit for agricultural, household, clinical use or human consumption.
