501 Early Bugeye Floor Mat Kit

Every Austin Healey Sprite MK 1 And 2 that left the factory between 1958 and September of 1962 departed with a rubber floor mat set as the floor covering throughout the car (MK2s had carpet behind the seats). For years these mats have been the holy grail of interior restoration. Carpet has become the de-facto standard for British sports car restorations, but in the case of early Sprites, rubber was used exclusively to dress the floor pans.  The cost to produce molds for this rubber has always been cost for prohibitive and even with 3-D printers. It’s been a difficult job to recreate a molded rubber set.  Now, we have a great alternative available!  This is our 501 mat set, as seen in our gold level concours AN5L/501 restoration (the first production Bugeye Sprite) and happens to be the most accurate re-creation of the original rubber matting that we’ve ever seen. We’re now making this kit in red, blue, green and black so that you too can celebrate the original floor coverings with a b
