Alan Wire's THHN or THWN-2 conductors are designed for conduit applications, serving as branch circuits in commercial and industrial settings in accordance with the National Electric Code. In contrast, Type AWM or MTW conductors are specified for use in appliance or machine tool wiring under the National Electric Code. Constructed with soft-annealed, stranded, or solid copper, these conductors feature robust insulation made of heat and moisture-resistant polyvinyl chloride (PVC). A nylon (polymide) jacket is applied for added durability. Notably, sizes ranging from #4 to 750MCM are equipped with a friction-reducing nylon jacket, facilitating a smoother installation process.
