They also have a serious pupping habit, creating upward of 12+ pups off each plant. Tillandsia neglecta is native to Ecuador. It is primarily found in the Andean region of the country, growing in cloud forests at elevations between 1,500 and 3,000 meters (4,900 to 9,800 feet) above sea level.
