Our cells produce small amounts of hydrogen peroxide as a defense mechanism against environmental toxins. Catalase works to neutralize H2O2 once it's done its job in our bodies. As we age, the reduction of Catalase causes excess H2O2 to affect things like hair color, thickness, and hair loss. Adding Catalase into products for hair care has been shown to reduce age-related scalp conditions by neutralizing excess H2O2.
