This 4-Hole AMPS Mounting Plate with Integrated 20mm Ball and Metal Backing plate is perfect for heavy duty installations where the back side of the mounting surface is accessible. The AMPS Ball sits on top of the mounting surface while the backing plate sits underneath the mounting surface and the 4 Allen bolts tighten the entire system for a rock solid foundation for your device. **PATENT PENDING** APPLICATIONS When we designed this kit, we had semi trucks, golf carts, lawn tractors and boats in mind. With any of these applications, a sturdy, flat panel or mounting surface (with access to the back side) allows for the AMPS plate to be securely installed.
