English Transfer Tile Minton Farm Animals Horses and Chickens Framed

A nice original English Victorian tile by Minton's China Works from the farm animal series designed by William Wise. It shows a pair of plow horses and chickens in a farm yard. Measures 6" x 6" x 1/2". It is in excellent condition with a bright shiny surface. Signed and dated on the lower right "W Wise 1879", uncommon to find one signed this way. It is housed in an old wooden frame in a deep brown finish, making the overall measurements 9 1/2" square. The frame has some wear. A sawtooth hanger on the back makes this ready to hang on your wall.
