Vintage Art Deco tile in matte glazes from the Mosaic Tile Company probably dating to the 1930's. Measures 4 1/4" square and and made from a dust pressed clay. From Mosaic's Kindergarten series, this shows a white leaping gazelle against a blue background and a pink frame. Some crazing and dings on the surface. The Mosaic Tile Company offered this series in 2 clay bodies, a thick faience clay suitable for outdoors and a dust pressed clay for interior installation.
