Safety Tether Kits

Safety tether kits provides backup security for your attached device. This tether kit will keep a device attached to the bike if it is somehow disconnected from your mount while riding.  The device is attached by either a stiff rubber composite band or a stick-on anchor.  All radar kits are intended to work with BUP mount arms to prevent twist out.  They will also work without a BUP mount, but the latching feature will not work.  For Garmin RTL515, a version is available for Non-BUP mounts also. Kits using a band include an elastic strap except the kit for the Garmin RCT715.  Heavier devices, such as the Garmin RCT715, GoPro, or Insta360, include a heavy duty lanyard instead.  The generic kit includes two anchors that use a permanent 3M adhesive.  These lanyards also include a removable aluminum clip for convenience. All kits are rated to withstand a minimum of ~30 lbs. of force before the potential failure of the lanyard or anchor adhesive.  Use a cow hitch knot to attach the lanyard
