Here's the description from the photographer / printer himself...After spending a solid four hours from 2am to morning twilight yelling obscenities at the sky while watching a glorious display of Aurora Borealis on the North Shore of Lake Superior, I stumbled down to water’s edge to welcome the sunrise. Upon arriving at the beach, the birds were stirring with activity, the lake was pushing its perpetual waves towards the shore, and the early spring melt had just begun to send winter’s runoff down the creek and back into Superior’s arms. I had this entire beach to myself and was still reeling from the evening’s northern lights display, in total awe of the beauty the universe continued to put in front of my eyes. As I strolled the edge of the lake looking for rocks, my eyes caught a glimpse of a small puddle that had frozen just enough in the chill of the evening.
