Nathanael West. First edition, first printing (stated). New York: Farrah, Straus and Cudahay, 1957. Both unclipped dust jacket, in a mylar protective wrapper, and hardcover are in Near Fine condition. Back of the jacket has a small chip. Introduction by Alan Ross. No writing or markings in the book, 421 pp.  West was killed in an automobile accident in 1940 at the age of thirty-seven. This edition contains his four short novels, including: " The Day of the Locust" " Miss Lonely Hearts", "The Dream Life of Baiso Snell" and "A Cool Million".
