Miele Dynamic U1 Maverick Cat & Dog Upright Vacuum has A 4,800RPM electric motor that drives the revolving brush roll while cleaning carpets. It is powerful enough to pick up dust mites, allergens, and dirt from the carpet's surface.  The suction motor is what produces the air needed to pick up dirt. When the brush roll is cleaning the carpet, it doesn't affect how efficient the suction will become because the suction motor can work independently. If you want to clean bare floors, you need to turn off the brush roll, and a switch on the handle allows you to do that. The vacuum cleans the dirt on the floor in one pass, and the squeegee behind the rush roll opening enables the vacuum to take in even more dirt at once. There is also an electronic vacuum that allows you to adjust the power level of the suction motor. You do this via a dial at the front of the Dynamic U1.
