LaJolla Sunset
Thin petals, but massive bouquets of blooms. LaJolla Sunset is a favorite amongst rare plumeria collectors. LaJolla Sunset has a tall, upright growth habit and a tendency to branch into 3s and 4s. Blooms begin as a cluster of dark reddish-pink, and as they open further reveal rainbow coloration that becomes more pronounced as blooms age. LaJolla Sunset begins blooming as early as mid-April in central Florida. LaJolla Sunset is not particularly difficult to root from a cutting, but seem to root their best when cuttings are taken late summer/early fall and kept out heavy rainfall.
