Empire Style Basket Chandelier

This chandeliers luxurious presence exemplifies the empire style. Each of the brass arms features flowing forms that tie in with the flower motif of the band. The candle lights sit on top of brass bobeche's with dangling crystal prisms. The crystal chains descend the chandelier and draw your eyes to the bottom bowl.   From 1804–15, Napoléon I reigned as the emperor of France, bringing the country into a new era of wealth after the fall of the monarchy and the tumultuous years of the French Revolution.
