“The Pearl Harbor” 100% USA Made Serinium® Metal With Wood From The USS California

This ring is handcrafted with reclaimed teak wood from the Deck of the USS California BB 44 historic battleship sunk during Pearl Harbor Attack Dec. 7, 1941. She was sunk on Battleship Row and then re-floated and repaired getting back into battle in 1944. The ship was built in Vallejo, California at Mare Island in 1920. She became the Pacific Fleet Flagship from 1921 to 1941. Commissioned August 1921This teak is Burmese and was milled in the late 1800's. It is over 120 years old and cannot be replicated. This teak was specifically milled for US and British battleships. When Japan took over Burma during World War II the supply was cut off. The ship was salvaged in 1959 in Baltimore by Bethlehem Shipbuilders the company that scrapped the ship. Thankfully some of the wood was saved so we can make this ring.
