Maranta leuconeura 'Green Prayer plant'

Maranta leuconeura, commonly known as the "prayer plant" as their leaves move and fold with the light, is native to Brazilian tropical forests. Like their Calathea cousins, they are a perennial plant that grows from a rhizome. Maranta prefer bright indirect light, direct sunlight will burn their leaves. When watering, it is best to use rain, distilled, or filtered water; Only water when the top 1/3 of soil is dry. These plants enjoy LOTS of humidity!  Pet safe!
