Verne’s Hybrid

This was once a popular plant but has become rare due its chronic infection with various issues including fungus and TMV. So much that it gained the nickname “Vernes mosaic”. Verne would sometimes switch up the order and called this one bother SP x peru and peru x SP. He wrote on his websites that Koehres once sold these hybrid seeds, but afaik never clearly stated the source of his plant. Did he grow it from one of those Koehres seeds?
