The softer silicone makes engaging the portafilter easier thus less effort and strain on your wrists. Food Grade Silicone is odorless and tasteless Durable, and easier to install and remove than rubber gasket The IMS  Brew screen increases the resistance to corrosion and to chemical reaction. The integrated 200 Micron membrane creates the best dispersion pattern over your coffee while reducing the build up of coffee on the back of the screen.
