2022 Tannat [clone 474]

Animated and lively with dense, super floral aromatics, there’s notes of sweet alcohol that meld seamlessly with the new French oak. Defined by a mouthful of pomegranate and cranberry flavors cradled in big tannins that offer the varietal’s tell-tale linear yet bombastic finish that’s Marc rounded out with a dash of Merlot and splash of Syrah so that the whole package lingers for what seems like minutes. This varietal is virtually heat-proof, yielding only more flavor in hotter years like 2022. Aging:  100% French Oak, 50% New, for 22 months.
