Don’t let the name fool you, these are beautiful, gigantic, moorei-type plants! “OBH97” is a monster of a plant from Europe and Damon has crossed it with the huge ‘Atlas’! If you want a beautiful beast, this is the plant for you! These are seed-grown plants and have a lot of variation in color and size, but they are generally all leucophylla-moorei type plants! We only have a handful of these plants available, so they’re gone once they’re gone!  DORMANT SEASONALLY, STARTING AS EARLY AS OCTOBER AND LASTING AS LATE AS MARCH, DEPENDING ON THE CONDITIONS AND SPECIES/HYBRID. The pitchers turn brown and die back to the rhizome, or non-carnivorous leaves (phyllodia) grow during this time. Please see the final photo to see how Sarracenia look when dormant. They will begin to grow vigorously again in Spring when photoperiods lengthen and temperatures increase.
