Steel Blowpoke

2' 8" hollow fire poker A blowpoke is a handy multi-tool for starting/stoking fires. Shaped like a traditional fire poker, the shaft is also hollow and can be used to blow on coals from a distance. It offers more control than a bellows, and sure beats getting on your hands and knees to blow on the fire! Just remember not to breathe in through the shaft! Wood smoke smells nice, but doesn't taste so good. And it's not too great for your lungs, either.    Please be sure to exercise all reasonable caution when dealing with fire! Start all fires in a safe location, such as a fireplace or firepit, away from wooden structures, and make sure there is nothing flammable within range of jumping sparks. Rake any leaves/vegetation away before lighting an outdoor fire. Make sure to wear close-toed shoes and secure any loose hair or clothing before working with fire. Always be aware of burn bans and dangerous conditions (drought/dryness, dead leaves, high winds, etc) and do not light an outdoor fire
