These are handmade solid hardwood tostoneras. Each one of these is meticulously hand shaped and sanded using beautiful high quality hardwoods. They are designed to be put to work in the kitchen daily or as decoration for your home. If taken care of well these tostoneras will be with you for generations. Construction Each tostonera is cut from the same solid piece of hardwood lumber and the grain arranged for maximum strength before cutting the final shape. They are then hand sanded to a high grit to ensure a smooth clean feel in the hand. Next, solid brass hinges are attached. Finally they are soaked in mineral oil bath before a coat of beeswax is applied to seal and protect the wood. Material Available in 3 different woods : American Black Walnut (Dark), Cherry Wood (Medium), and Maple (Light) - all grow commonly in North America and considered premium hardwoods. These tostoneras are solid wood, and their color is 100% natural. No dyes or paints are ever applied to our wood products.
