All of the corners are cut on perfect miters so that the grain flows seamlessly from one edge to the other. Then all corners are reinforced with maple splines to ensure the longevity of the piece as well as adding a decorative touch of contrasting color.The hinges and latch are all cast from 100% solid brass. The glass is .25" thick acrylic with anti-scratch coatings and will never yellow with UV exposure. Each box is backed with a black velvet liner over wood so you can easily screw or pin into.
