4” Amydrium zippelianum
Amydrium zippelianum is a distinctive aroid known for its palm-like foliage. These plants are native to Papua New Guinea, Indonesia and the Philippines. Amydrium zippelianum prefers to climb so make sure to provide it with a coco pole or other support structure. If not allowed to climb, it will produce leafless runners until it finds something to attach itself to. Caring for your Amydrium zippelianum is relatively simple, but they do require a little extra attention. This plant prefers a well draining soil that is rich in organic matter. Allow your plant to dry out about halfway between watering, taking care to not allow it to sit in excess water.
