Day 02

Day 02 of “My Heart” 8x8 - Gallery wrapped canvas Today is the second day of 28 days of daily paintings that will drop first thing each morning. Each day, I’ll tell a little bit about my story as an artist and how it makes me who I am. I hope in sharing these little pieces of my heart, you will know how much painting means to me. On the day of the art fair, I sold a paper mache bowl to a woman who was a childhood idol of mine. Her name was Carla Crowell. She bought that watermelon paper mache bowl, and it meant the world to me. Over a decade later, I found out that she still owned that bowl that I had made…and then that small $5 purchase meant even more to me! She didn’t just invest in a bowl. She invested in me. That tiny spark caught fire.
