Voyager Series #5 Flavor Profile: Honeysuckle, Bergamot, Jasmine Roast Level: Light Processing Method: Honey Region: San Isidro, Grecia Producer: Rodrigo Oviedo Elevation: 1300 MASL Variety: Geisha Notes: For generations, the Oviedo family has farmed coffees in the foothills of the Poas Volcano in San Isidro, Grecia. Rodrigo, a third generation coffee producer, combines his family's traditional coffee growing methods with his extensive education and innovative ideas. This has lead to excellent, environmentally-friendly coffees year after year, far exceeding the expectations of coffee connoisseurs around the world. Geisha is a Arabica coffee variety with a global reputation for excellence. The bean was first brought to prominence in Panama after a 2004 Best of Panama coffee auction, but originated in Ethiopia's Kaffa region and first exported through Costa Rica. Geisha coffees are typically more expensive than their Arabica counterparts because of low supply and incredibly high demand.
