11.25 Inches High Total x 3.75 x 3.75; Figure is 9.75 Inches High x 3.5 Inches Wide x 3 Inches Deep Not much is known about this female torso. Vincent van Gogh drew it and painted it at least twice and referred to it as the goddess Venus in some instances. The P.P. Caproni and Brother catalogs called it "Female, antique," but we do not know its origin beyond this title. On the cast in our collection, we have left intact the seam lines created during the old moldmaking process used in the past. The torso can be used as a decoration or an art study.   Artist: Unknown Museum: Unknown 1911 Catalog ID # - 3608   Sources: "Vincent van Gogh: Torso of Venus." Van Gogh Museum, https://www.vangoghmuseum.nl/en/collection/d0034V1962r.
