Mid Century Wood Sideboard Cabinet or Credenza by Ole Wanscher
This iconic vintage mid century modern credenza or sideboard cabinet designed by Ole Wanscher and produced by Poul Jeppesen Furniture was made in Denmark circa 1960. This “Rungstedlund” sideboard from the Rungstedlund dining collection was named after the manor house owned by author and adventurer Karen Blixen in Rungsted, just north of Copenhagen. The timeless and elegant design features classic Danish modern styling with a minimalist design and clean, geometric lines. The mahogany cabinet is solid and well-crafted and sits on raised squared wooden legs and an h-stretcher base, has three locking cabinet doors and finished interiors. The two side doors open on spacious storage with one adjustable and removable shelf on each side. The center door opens on a set of six slender sliding drawer trays (bottom tray is absent).
