Almost all animal life has succumbed to starvation, and all plant life has expired. During the eclipse, an unrecognised species of vine begins growing from the decaying corpses of animals. The insect life that had survived starvation begins to amass on these vines for nourishment. At the same time, some seemingly targeted humans are attacked by a brut
