Italian Pepperoncini Sweet Pepper- Organic Species: Capsicum Annuum 75 days. Ripens from yellow to red with a sweet, succulent flavor. Ideal for salads, cooking, and pickling. Grows well in containers. This variety of pepper adds a delightful flavor to salads, pizzas, and sandwiches. Its pods range from mild to medium spiciness and change in color from yellow-green to yellow, and eventually to red. It thrives in cooler climates and after being repotted, the 7-10 cm long pods can be picked in approximately 65 days. Many enjoy consuming these peppers when they reach the ripe yellow stage. Soil & Water: Peppers require deeply-worked, well-drained soil with plenty of added organic matter and a pH of 6.0-6.8. Water deeply, but don't over water. Planting & Growing: Start seeds indoors 8 weeks before the last frost. Direct seeding is not recommended. Stake to keep fruit off the ground and mulch for disease and weed control.
