The untreated Zimbabwe Birds Pepper seeds are heirloom varieties known for their small, red peppers. These peppers can grow up to 2 feet tall and produce hundreds of hot pods year-round. This high yielding plant, originating in East Africa, reaches a height of 120cm and is commonly used in Portuguese cuisine for pickling, salsas, sauces, soups, and vinegars. The Zimbabwe Birds Pepper seeds (Capsicum Annum) are a type of very hot pepper from the Capsicum frutescens species, which also includes the Tabasco variety. These peppers are between 1 and 2 cm long, with a diameter of 0.5 cm. They can be found throughout Africa, including in the wild, and the plant can vary in height from 30 cm to 120 cm. These peppers are commonly used in piri-piri dishes. This seed produces an extremely hot pepper commonly used in Asian cuisine. Once dried, it can be ground into a fine powder. Native to South America, it is also referred to as Malagueta pepper and can be easily cultivated in containers. GROWING
