Post-Consumer Hanging Planter

Cultivate your house plants in a sustainable work of art! This planter is made out of reclaimed clay from the communal studio where Carmen makes and rescued glass bottles. this drippy hanging planter has 2 openings for small house plants and succulents. The custom rope is constructed out of rescued LDPE plastic dry cleaner bags.This work is part of a series called: Conscious Oddments. Work consists of discarded materials designed for the presently human home & the future oceanic home. The upcoming generation to inherit these objects could be our underwater neighbors due to marine pollution and rising sea levels. 9" x 6" x 5" hangs an adittional 21" constructed in the studio by artist Carmen Jimenez.
