It is very pretty, and easy to grow. It is a subtropical sundew with leaves year round. It tolerates a wide range of growing conditions, but prefers open, sunny, boggy conditions in peaty soils. It often produces clumps of plants from it roots, and can fill a pot, or easily create a small colony. It dies back in a light frost, but returns from the roots. The flowers are large and pink with several open at a time. It is self-fertile, and generously produces seeds that can be sown immediately or stored in cool, dry conditions for a year or more. It easily makes leaf and root cuttings. D. aliciae can become a wonderful "weed" in your carnivorous plant collection. It is an excellent terrarium plant, and a great beginner's plant. Thi
