Its particular charm comes from its pink flowers and habit of growing throughout the Winter if kept warm and bright. It prefers open and sunny, wet savannahs with peaty or sandy-peaty soils. It does not form a winter hibernacula (resting bud). The small flowers are generally pink, but may be white, on scapes with multiple blossoms. Pink Sundews flower from May to August and frequently produce abundant seeds, giving them a nice spreading habitat. Seeds may be stored cool and dry without stratification (cold-wet period).
