Like other Solidago (Goldenrod) species, it supports several specialized native bees. It is a host plant to Wavy-lined Emerald moth larvae (Synchlora aerata). Songbirds eat its seeds. Best planted in naturalized meadows, riparian areas, or pollinator gardens.
