Many people refer to this machine, and our other heated carpet extractors, as steam cleaning machines. This is not the actual correct terminology for these machines, they are really called hot water extraction machines. If you were to produce actual steam with this machine, the heater would have to heat the water to 212° F, and above. Water this hot can actually be detrimental to your carpet. This 100 PSI heated Sandia Sniper gets you about as close as possible to true steam, it will heat the water to 198° F, under optimum conditions. When cleaning with this machine, you'll need to plug the two power cords into two separate circuits. There is a circuit locator on the machine that will light up, when you are drawing power from separate circuits.
