Flamingo original pastel painting

This flamingo was a fun challenge with its color transitions and adding just enough additional color to give her life. It's difficult to see in this image of the artwork, but you'll find even hits of purples, yellows, and oranges in even the lightest areas of pink. I use the highest quality professional art materials in all my artwork. For this piece, I used both Stabilo Carbothello and Faber-Castell Pitt pastel pencils for detailing, and PanPastels on Pastelmat. Most of my drawings of this size take me 10-16 hours to complete.
