Blc. Fort Watson ‘Early Sapphire’ (Lc. S.J. Bracey x Blc. Oconee)   The photo of this magnificent plant says it all.  Large, dark fuchsia-red blooms with heavy substance and sparkling texture.  Add in the vigorous growth habit with broad, dark leaves and this one is a definite winner!  ‘Early Sapphire’ blooms early in the summer when most Cattleyas are still setting their buds.  We have also used this for breeding with promising results.  Award quality but never seems to bloom in time for a judging.  Never been mericloned.    This division is growing in an 6" pot with 5 bulbs.
