Epidendrum porpax album *Species*
Epidendrum porpax album This miniature species is a great example of one that is tiny yet mighty! Low growing, creeping growth habit with many pairs of lush leaves are suitable for a variety of conditions. Native to Mexico and down through Central America, Epi. porpax is best grown in medium to bright indirect light and intermediate to warm temperatures. Plants will love to ramble over mounts, wire frames or any surface with room and lots of air flow. Epidendrum porpax is also known as the Beetle Orchid. While the normal form shows red to brown shading, this cultivar is an alba and all green. No pigmentation in the foliage or the blooms. Great miniature and easy to cultivate to specimen size. We have a limited number of divisions mounted on cedar wood planks with a small amount of moss for hydration. All are flowering size.
