What We Collect / a series - photogravure print - The Weekly Edition
I find myself surrounded by collections of small objects that come through my life. Some practical, some less so. Turns out I am not the only one, this jar of buttons was collected by a relative of my wife, now she has them, and I borrowed them for a minute. This photogravure is made from a one of a kind tintype. I am enjoying using this new printmaking method I love so much to make reproductions of otherwise single objects. Hand-pulled photogravure print is made with Charbonnel Noir 55981, Bistre, and Burnt Umber inks on Hahnemühle copperplate paper. I printed an edition of 6 numbered prints and 2 A/P prints. Hand-pulled print by Ray Bidegain Limited edition of 6 6.5x 8.0" inches on an 11 x 14" sheet. Signed numbered and titled by the artist on the lower front.
