Ceretto 2019 Barolo
ABOUT CERETTO BAROLO Crafted from a blend of select vineyard sites located within the DOCG Barolo, the idea of combining the unique flavor profiles vinified from the different sub-zones of this admired appellation has always been the original concept of a great Barolo. In Ceretto’s flagship Barolo, two 'souls' of the appellation are brought together to provide balance – the gentler side from the hillside vines grown in the Tortonian soils surrounding La Morra and Barolo and the more austere and masculine side, coming from vines grown in the typical Helvetian soil found in Serralunga d’Alba. This wine is fermented with native yeast in stainless steel tanks, followed by 20-25 days of maceration. Malolactic fermentation is completed in 300L French wood barrels immediately following the harvest. Scores 94 points, Wine Enthusiast 94 points, James Suckling 94 points, Robert Parker
