Based in Alameda, California, St. George has been distilling since 1982 and since then created a fantastic portfolio of craft spirits. A Californian spin on Japanese culinary traditions, St. George distillery set out to make a full-flavored Shochu from Californian rice. On the nose, you’ll find cashew, pistachio, sweet mushrooms, and finally, dried cocoa. That sense of cocoa further develops on the palate as bittersweet chocolate.
