Only 1,440 bottles of this whiskey, which was aged for over three years, were ever produced. Size: 750mL Proof: 87.6 (43.8% ABV) Origin: United States Distillery: Ransom Distillery Ransom Emerald whiskey is named for the "emerald isle" of Ireland. The whiskey is said to be the recreation of an Irish mash bill uncovered in historical records and reproduced at the Oregon distillery. It is made from a blend of 67% malted barley, 7% unmlated barley, 15% rye, and 12% oat. Ransom The Emerald American Whiskey Tasting Notes Nose: Bold aroma of oats, malt and earthy minerals. Palate: Rich, structured flavor profile, with notes of caramel, green herbs and fresh whipped cream. Finish: Finish is long and satisfying, with a touch of spice. Distillery Information Situated in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains, Ransom Distillery sits on a 40-acre farm just outside Sheridan, Oregon. The distillery, which opened its doors in 1997, was named after the funds required to start the business.
