Kava is prepared from the rhizome and root of noble varieties of Piper methysticum plants 4-6 years old. Herb Pharm's Kava is grown and harvested in the islands of the South Pacific. The herb is extracted in small batches with Certified Organic cane alcohol for potency and to maintain the balance of phytochemicals as they exist in the plant.
